  • What Types of Photos Can You Print in Bangkok, and Where Is the Most Convenient Place to Get Them Printed?

Most photos today are stored digitally, so what people often call “developing photos” now usually means printing digital image files from a phone, camera or computer as physical photographs.

Common photo printing needs include:

  • ID photos and identification photos
  • CV, resume and job application photos
  • Visa and document photos
  • Personal portraits and business portraits
  • Reprints of photos taken previously
  • Photos stored on your phone or computer

The appropriate photo size, ratio and image quality depend on how the printed photo will be used.

For personal photos, you can usually choose the print size you prefer. For ID photos, visa applications, CVs or other official documents, however, you should first check the photo requirements provided by the relevant organisation, embassy or authority.

Even a small printed photo can involve important details.
If you need professional photo printing support in central Bangkok, HOLO+FACE is located at EMSPHERE 1F and is open daily. You can contact our team before visiting if you have questions about photo printing, reprints or taking a new photo.

If You Are Bringing Your Own Digital Photo File We recommend using the original high-resolution image whenever possible.

Standard photo reprints usually take around 10–15 minutes for in-store collection.
Actual waiting time may vary depending on the print size, quantity and studio conditions that day.

What If My HOLO+FACE Photos Were Taken More Than 6 Months Ago? You can still request a reprint, but you will need to provide your own digital photo file.

HOLO+FACE generally keeps photography files for approximately 6 months from the shooting date. After this period, the original image may no longer be available in our system.

For older photo sessions, please prepare the original digital file yourself.
Reprints in this situation can only be produced according to the available original image and its existing specifications, so we recommend keeping your important digital photo files safely after your session.

Can I Print a Photo That Was Not Taken at HOLO+FACE? Yes. You do not need to be an existing HOLO+FACE photography customer to request photo printing.

If you already have a digital photo file, you can send it to our customer service team or bring the file to the studio. For general photo printing, image resolution and image ratio are important because they affect how the final physical print will look.

  • For ID photos, visa photos, CV photos or other formal uses, please first check the official requirements for:

  1. Required photo size
  2. Background colour
  3. Head and face proportions
  4. Cropping
  5. Number of copies
  6. Other application-specific requirements

If the existing file is suitable for printing, you do not necessarily need to take a new photo.
This can be especially convenient if you urgently need additional ID photos, CV photos or printed photographs while in Bangkok.

  • When Should You Take a New ID Photo Instead of Printing the Old One? Some digital files can technically be printed but may not be suitable for official use.

We may recommend taking a new photo in situations such as:

  1. The Image Resolution Is Too Low: Screenshots, heavily compressed images or very small image files may look acceptable on a phone screen but become blurry, pixelated or soft when printed.
  2. The Face Proportion or Crop Is Not Suitable: Different official applications may have different requirements for head size, shoulder position and the amount of space around the face. If the original image is cropped too tightly or does not leave enough space for adjustment, taking a new photo may be a better option.
  3. The Background or Lighting Is Not Suitable: Some applications require a specific background colour or a clean background without strong shadows.
If the original photo has distracting elements, uneven lighting or heavy facial shadows, it may not be suitable for formal use.
  4. The File Has Been Heavily Compressed: Photos sent repeatedly through messaging apps or social platforms may lose image quality. This loss may not be obvious on a screen but can become much more noticeable in print.
  5. The Photo No Longer Looks Like You: If the photo was taken a long time ago and your hairstyle, facial appearance or overall look has changed significantly, a more recent photo may be more appropriate for official documents.
  6. The Original Image Was Not Taken as an ID Photo: A selfie, lifestyle photo or regular portrait may look clean and professional, but it does not automatically meet ID, passport or visa photo requirements. For official documents, always check the latest requirements provided by the relevant authority before printing.
